Timing is everything with some aromatics. Our Cinnamon Hydrosol was ready for launch back in August but I felt bringing it into the apothecary in November would be a great way to celebrate the fall. Cinnamon evokes the holiday season, egg nog and in our family, the tradition of plotting silly stocking stuffers because who doesn’t want a tacky angel in their stocking.
Cinnamon hydrosol is a wonderful all purpose hydrosol. It can be misted all over the body and is an effective anti-inflammatory forgoing support. Take care to avoid the face as it is strong and can irritate. Cinnamon is ideal as an air freshener either in the car or a room for a beautiful cinnamon scent. One of my favorite ways of using it during the holidays is by filling a decorative bowl of pine cones I’ve picked during one of my foraging walks, and misting them every couple of days for a natural holiday scent. I also spray my live christmas tree as well. It’s how aromatherapists do Christmas.
Shelf life: 18 to 24 months. Refrigerate to prolong freshness.
