This is aged orris root that we further age two years to develop and intensify the powdery notes. It arrives cut and sifted and is then stored in glass in the dark area of our climate controlled apothecary. I powder the cut roots with a commercial grinder to order so the compounds remain fresh for use. Orris root is a must have when making incense, body care products such as powder deodorants or perfume compositions. It is particularly valuable when binding the natural animal paste further enhancing the floral notes in our Thailand civet.
