Cedarwood Hydrosol

So magnificently true to the essential oil, Himalayan Cedarwood hydrosol is a perfect jewel in our hydrosol collection, an honest representation of the tree found high in the Nepalese mountains where monasteries burn the wood as incense. The hydrosol is warm, woody and comforting with the expected Cedarwood dry smokey note. Skin has fondness for Cedarwood, tightening pores, calming fire from heat and irritation. Puppies have a fondness for the scent as well. Himalayan Cedarwood has old memories that hail back to the embalming by ancient Egyptians, the wood used in coffins. I recall writing about its use when I had my first research assignment as a preteen, fascinated by its use and wishing to the heavens I could have a chance to smell the oil. Forty years later, I’m lucky to enjoy both.
