I was beside myself in happiness when White Lotus floral wax landed at our apothecary. We had requested it back in September 2021 before our Egyptian trip and my fingers were crossed the entire trip that a few kilos would be left to add to our growing collection of floral waxes. We kicked off its arrival on social media with a riddle and a giveaway.
And fragrant most of all
I symbolize purity
Indigenous to Rameses (rather his land)
Sacred to Buddha
When held in her hand
White Lotus has meant all these things having been divinely important to ancient cultures. It represents purity of mind and body, purity of love, perfection of Mother Nature. It carves its own floral profile: notes of indole and fruit bomb, reminding me of the wild passionfruit I knew as grenadilla when I used to pick the ripe fruit in Peru. Like our Pink Lotus floral wax, this rare fragrant wax is small batch produced with exquisite care and diligence. It is an aromatic that we are grateful to both experience and to offer. It’s also why I cherish our relationships with distilleries that work from the heart.
Suggested uses: White Lotus floral wax requires a bath to work with in a variety of formations. It can be added in soap making, creams, lotions, lip gloss, salves, balms and perfume solids. It can be used to replace beeswax when making vegan skincare and other DIY formulations. Once White Lotus wax is warmed, it can be worked into shea butter for a scented body butter or added to a carrier oil to lightly scent and add viscosity.
