Vetiver Absolute India

Over the years, I’ve been a collector of vetiver. Whether it’s from Haiti, India, Indonesia and most recently –  raw vetiver roots from Kenya for a future distillation, I find myself more in love with the sheer complexity of this amazing root. Vetiver has very pronounced base notes and like patchouli, people either love it or they hate it. I feel Vetiver absolute plays a level field. It is very moderate, very demure, very classic as a base note in a perfume composition. As an absolute, it loses some of the heavier notes that come with vetiver without compromising its value as a base note. I use it often to add sillage to my work which is a must when creating 100% pure natural perfumes. That itself is the value of this oil.
