I love ‘out of the bottle’ aromatics that have that immediate pull to create a perfume particularly when the profile is so complex. Juniper concrete is very much a cornucopia of aroma, a perfect core ingredient for fougere based perfumes. It melds caramelized juniper berry with lavender absolute and oak moss notes with a hay dry down. I also detect a note similar to the Douglas fir resin I harvested while recently on Vancouver Island. It’s become my favorite juniper profile to work with and see it as a mandatory oil in perfumers organs in the future.
