Rose Otto Essential Oil India

As I fall deeper down the rabbit hole of rare essential oils, I’ve learned to not have a fixed idea of what’s the best rose or tuberose or lotus. There’s terroir and timing of harvest to speak of not to mention other elements that can only be met with a kind of understanding a fellow distiller knows. To date, our greek rose essential oil held court as my composition go to, my recommendation for the purest expression of damascena notes. If the color pink had an aroma profile, greek rose would be it. Rose otto is the purest expression of wild Indica rose. It’s what the color red smells like. Petals soft as old velvet, Indica rose is cloaked in centuries of history, of Ayurvedic tradition. This distillation is another superstar from our Indian producer who takes the kind of care that I do as a producer to coax the layers of aromas in this beautiful flower. This indica rose is throwing my heart around. Recklessly so. And I don’t think I’ll be alone.
