Magnolia Flower Monastery Incense

When Magnolia Flower Incense arrived at our apothecary, I thought I was in for another floral treat much like our Rose Damask and Lemon Flower, both hypnotic and sensual incense resins reminiscent of their fresh counter parts. However, Magnolia surprised me because at first sniff. I felt it was too flowery and I wasn’t sure if we would have it in the shop. Burning the incense changed everything. The smoke is a gentle floral with a soft caramel note that weaves itself in the air, seducing the mind to meditation. Those scented smoke notes differentiate it from the other incense but Frankincense in the handmade resin reminds one that it is very much part of the trinity of ritual burnables. I burn Magnolia as often as I do the other two incense resins.

I am very particular about what I burn, having suffered through synthetic incense and resins in my 20s that were not only an assault to my lungs but potentially dangerous and allergenic causing. Magnolia Flower Monastery Incense is crafted by Greek Monks as they have done for over 2000 and incorporate not only Magnolia flowers and other plant materials but the other pillar of incense, Frankincense resin. Magnolia Flower Monastery Incense burns a sweet Magnolia – frankincense odor that takes relaxation to a gentle, loving space. It calms and disarms. There is no synthetic ingredients and only small amount is required to scent a small room. Burning this beautiful fragrant incense is an exquisitely sensual smoke experience.

Suggested use: Use in meditation practice, relaxation or to gently scent the area. The incense burns best using a heated charcoal tablet. Burning in an area containing quartz crystals to create an hypnotic incense experience is highly recommended.
