Lily Yellow Hydrosol California

It took a few distillations of both pink and yellow lilies before I realized I had a gemini on my hands. The yellow lilies, in 100 degree heat smell like fruity bananas yet in weather ten degrees less, they smell like acacia or cananga (ylang ylang) flowers. They are beautiful and showy in the spring but just building their scent profile in the spring. By summer, they are in their own write – sophisticated flowery, powder notes that come through the hydrosol beautifully. It’s this work that really brought me to feel like I’ve developed technique because whether it’s pink or yellow, there is some patience, skill and craftsmanship involved which I’ve learned over the last five years. My hope is that this gemini hydrosol will be enjoyed and loved as much as I’ve loved distilling it … and that I’ve produced enough to make it to next summer.

Shelf life: 12 to 16 months.

Refrigerate to prolong freshness. 

Packaged in glass bottles.
